About Us
Since 1975, Busy Bees Preschool Center has been a premier childcare provider to families in Fitchburg and the surrounding communities. Our journey began when we converted a historic nightclub into a childcare facility, offering exclusive partial-day programming until 1990. In 2011, we added an infant and toddler classroom, responding to the ever-changing childcare needs of our families. Today, we offer full-day care for children from three months to five years old.
Our Systems
We prioritize a collaborative and working relationship with parents and keep them informed about their child’s growth and progress through Tadpoles. This is an online assessment system that easily gathers and organizes information uploaded by our teachers to communicate with parents throughout the day.
Our Curriculum
Our certified teachers use the latest research in child development to offer current practices in early education. The MA Infant/Toddler Curriculum Guidelines, MA Guidelines of Preschool Learning Experiences, and Highscope Child Observation Record support development of curriculum that addresses the unique needs of each child. Our curriculum does just that while following a dual teaching approach that exposes children to both English and Spanish languages.

How will I know what my child did during the day?
We use Tadpoles, an online assessment and communication system. Teachers upload observations, photos, and updates throughout the day so you can follow your child’s progress in real time. We also maintain an open-door policy for families.
Are meals provided?
Yes. We participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and have been a USDA/CACFP-approved food service facility since 1990. Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are provided at no additional cost.
How is the center kept secure?
The building is secured with camera coverage inside and outside the premises. We’re happy to walk you through our safety procedures during a tour.
Do you serve families outside Fitchburg?
