Brain-Building In The Early Years

Busy Bees Preschool Center’s mission is to provide an enriched, early education to children between the ages of 2 months and 5 years old. Research plays a large role in our planning, providing teachers with the latest information on appropriate learning experiences in the physical, social/emotional language and cognitive domains. Our staff is eager to support each child’s unique growth and development.

Our Team

Maria Paulino, A.S.

Proprietor/Director/Lead Teacher

I believe we need to invest in our children who are the emerging leaders of our future. Instilling them now with the skills, confidence, and compassion can equip them to influence the world as they grow.

Education: B.S. in Early Childhood

Experience

I started working at Busy Bees Preschool Center in July of 1998 as an Assistant Teacher and finished my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education at Mount Wachusett Community College the following year. I achieved DEEC Director II status in 2000. In 2004, I joined the Schott Fellowship, which researches preschoolers and the challenges their families face. It helps early childhood professionals have a better understanding of how to serve and assist the families. As a Fellow, I exercise my skills as a leader on the local level by advocating for the needs of the families and young children in our community. In 2005, I made the decision to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education at Fitchburg State College and several months later purchased the center. While continuing work on my Bachelor’s Degree, I have been transitioning the ownership aspect of the center, and at the same time, successfully achieved NAEYC accreditation for the Center through 2022.

Zoribett Lozada. A.S.

Lead Teacher Infant/toddler, PS/I/T MA-DEEC I/T/PS , Director I and II Certified

I believe that Early Education Teachers are the foundation that prepare young children for their long educational future. Not only do Early Educators teach, but we love, nurture, and provide a safe and secure environment for young children and for this reason I became a teacher. I have always wanted to work with children from a young age and now that I am in the field, I enjoy watching and helping young children blossom and grow to their full potential. A teacher is someone who is caring, loving, patient, respectful, nurturing, understanding and most of all passionate, not only about their job, but also about caring for and educating young children. This is why I have committed myself to making sure I am providing children with a safe, warm, nurturing, positive, trusting and stimulating environment where they can continue to grow and learn at their own pace. I enjoy getting to know all the parents and creating a strong trusting relationship. I want to be the teacher that stays in a child’s mind as s/he grows and becomes his/her own person. Being remembered as a great teacher would be the greatest reward anyone could possibly give me.

Interests & Hobbies

I strongly advocate for early care and education on the local, state and national levels. Memberships & community involvement include NAEYC, MAEYC, Fitchburg ECAC, and Monty Tech Advisory. My strong leadership skills keep me involved with colleagues and peers, advocating for unmet needs in our field. In January 2017, then Senator Jen Flanagan sponsored my filed MA bill S255/H1528 (pending) in an effort to improve compensation for early educators. I enjoy chorale singing, reading, walking, baking and cooking, Scrabble®, crosswords, and Sudoku®.

Maria Del Carmen Lozada

Lead Teacher

As an educator, I strongly believe that early childhood education provides great
potential for growth and achievement for children. I truly believe that a child who is in a
nurtured and safe environment will continue to achieve educational goals throughout his
or her lifetime. To be an early childhood educator you must be passionate about what
you do. That passion shows through your teaching. I began working for Busy Bees in
2017 as break staff. Since then, I received my Lead teacher certification for Preschool
and am continuing my education for early childhood. As I continue with my career as an
early childhood educator, I strive to provide children with a positive learning experience,
a safe and nurturing environment, continue to be aware of developmental needs, as
well as continue to value and respect each of them as individuals. I will show affection
and continue to show the passion and commitment I have to teach and hopefully will
forever have a positive impact on the lives of the children under my care. Children are
truly our future.

Teacher

Taking care of children has always come easy for me and it’s always been something I really enjoy doing. It wasn’t until I had my own children that I decided to become an early childhood educator. As a mother I want nothing more than a bright future for all children. Becoming a teacher and making an impact in the lives of young children, who will soon be the leaders of tomorrow, is how I plan to achieve that. I come to work every day ready to inspire and nurture young minds to find the answers within themselves and the world around them. I work hard to inspire creativity, curiosity, exploration, and a love of learning through play and hands on learning!

Teacher

When I was growing up I thought I wanted to be a chef. As the years went on and I started babysitting I started to feel like maybe my place was educating and working with children. Through my years at Montachusett Vocational Technical School I turned my interest into a passion. I enjoy coming into work and seeing the way young minds take in the world around them. I look forward to providing the children with experiences that will allow them to learn and explore their curiosity. Seeing a child understand a concept and apply it to their lives is the most rewarding part. Working at Busy Bees has inspired me to not only continue my education for myself but also so that I can better provide and educate young children.
